Sumptuously bound in purple cloth with embossed image on cover, in similarly bound slipcase with die-cut window for cover image. Includes extra paperback “Reader’s Copy” which is the Author’s Preferred Edition advertised on the signature page of the Deluxe book (“it’s a long and painful story”). Includes approximately 12,000 words not included in the trade edition. Fine in slipcase without jacket as issued.
Originally published in 2001, American Gods won the 2002 Hugo, Nebula, Locus, SFX Magazine and Bram Stoker Awards, all for Best Novel, and also received nominations for the 2001 BSFA Award, as well as the 2002 World Fantasy, International Horror Guild and Mythopoeic, British Fantasy awards, and the 2003 Geffen Award.
