Signed bank check to Maxfield Parrish’s model and paramour, Susan Lewin, dated 1935, in the amount of $150. Countersigned on reverse by Susan Lewin.

Lewin was the Parrish family’s nanny until Parrish and Lewin moved into his studio together. She was one of three models used in his most famous painting, Daybreak.
