Truman Capote’s Personal Script for Screenplay of The Glass House - 1971
Truman Capote’s personal copy of the script for his short story The Glass House, adapted for the screen by screenwriter Tracy Keenan Wynn (The Longest Yard). This copy was obtained from the estate of Joanne Carson, in whose home Capote had a writing room, in which he died in 1984. Also includes the cast and crew call sheet for shooting on November 26, 1971. With provenance.
Based on a Truman Capote short story, The Glass House is a made-for-television drama about a college professor (Alan Alda) who is sent to maximum security prison after he is convicted for manslaughter. Once he arrives in prison, he has to deal with the violent harassment of a gang of criminals led by Vic Morrow.
