Autograph Letter Signed by Russian-American novelist Vladimir Nabokov, whose controversial bestselling novel Lolita (1955) is ranked fourth in the list of the Modern Library 100 Best Novels. Measures 5″ x 8.5″ on classic laid stationery, fine condition. From his home in the Montreux Palace Hotel, on the shore of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, he writes to an old friend in June 1976 (in French, translated):

Dear friend,
I thank you very much for your kind words.
I intend to come to London this fall and it will be a great pleasure to see you after all this time.

Vladimir Nabokov (1899-1977) was a novelist, poet, scholar, translator, and lepidopterist.
