Vintage Signed Playbill - 1951
Scarce vintage playbill signed in blue fountain pen ink on the cover, “To Henry / My kindest wishes / Ginger Rogers / 1951.” From the original Broadway production of the Louis Verneuil comedy “LOVE AND LET LOVE” which played the Plymouth Theatre in New York City from October 19, 1951 and closed after only 51 performances. This playbill is dated November 12, 1951.
The play starred GINGER ROGERS (shown on the cover and an inside advertisement for nylon stockings) and featured Paul McGrath, Tom Helmore, Helen Marcy and David Perkins.
The 34-page playbill measures 6 1/2″ X 9″ inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and bios of each of the leading actors but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos. Filled with loads of wonderful vintage advertising for all the guilty pleasures of the time.
